1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how BooBo (“BooBo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the BooBo mobile application, related websites, and support services.
BooBo is an AI-assisted photo editing application. Depending on the feature you use, BooBo may authenticate you with Apple, maintain your account and credit balance using Supabase, process subscription information through Apple and RevenueCat, send push notifications through Apple Push Notification service (APNs), collect product analytics and reliability events through PostHog, and send selected image-generation requests to fal.ai for AI processing.
We designed BooBo so that uploaded source photos and generated images are not intentionally stored in BooBo's application database. Images are intended to be kept locally on your device or saved to your photo library when you choose to do so. However, third-party infrastructure used to process a request may temporarily receive or process the image as technically necessary to perform the requested service.
2. Information we collect
Account information
If you use Sign in with Apple, we may receive an Apple-provided account identifier and, depending on your Apple settings, your name and an email address or Apple private relay email address. We use this information to create and maintain your BooBo account.
Credit and account records
We use Supabase to maintain information required to operate your account, such as an internal user identifier, credit balance, credit grants, credit reservations or deductions, timestamps, and related account metadata. These records help us prevent duplicate grants, maintain accurate balances, restore access, and support paid features.
Subscription and purchase information
Subscriptions are purchased through Apple's App Store. BooBo and RevenueCat may receive subscription-related information such as product identifiers, entitlement status, purchase and expiration dates, renewal state, transaction identifiers, store environment, and restore status. We do not receive your full payment card information from Apple.
Analytics and diagnostic information
We use PostHog to understand how BooBo is used and to diagnose bugs, crashes, failed flows, paywall behavior, feature usage, and performance problems. Events may include feature names, timestamps, app version, device or operating-system information, session information, subscription-screen interactions, generation success or failure states, and similar technical or product-usage events.
We do not need the contents of your private photos for routine product analytics and do not intentionally include your source or generated images in analytics events.
Support communications
If you contact us, we receive the information you send, such as your email address, message, troubleshooting details, screenshots, or other information you voluntarily provide.
3. Photos, photo-library access, and AI processing
BooBo may request permission to access your photos so that you can select an image to edit and, where supported, save a generated or edited image back to your device's photo library.
Photo-library permission is used for user-requested functionality. BooBo does not use photo-library permission to scan your library for advertising profiles or unrelated purposes.
When you choose an image and request an AI generation or edit, the selected image and generation instructions may be transmitted over the network to our AI processing provider, fal.ai, which provides access to AI image models including Nano Banana 2 and GPT Image 2. The provider processes the request so the requested image can be returned to the app.
BooBo does not intentionally persist your uploaded photos or generated photos in its own Supabase application database. Generated files are intended to be handled locally by the app and saved to your device only when you choose. Network intermediaries and third-party processors may temporarily process or cache data as technically necessary to provide their services, subject to their own terms and privacy practices.
Background execution or background networking may be used so an in-progress generation can continue or complete while the app is not actively in the foreground, where the operating system permits it. This is intended to reduce interruptions during generation; it does not change the purpose for which the selected image is processed.

5. How we use information
- Provide, operate, maintain, and secure BooBo.
- Authenticate users and restore account access.
- Maintain subscription entitlements and credit balances.
- Process requested AI image edits and generations.
- Deliver generated images to your device.
- Send service-related notifications where enabled.
- Measure feature usage, diagnose bugs, and improve reliability and user experience.
- Prevent abuse, duplicate credit grants, fraud, or unauthorized access.
- Respond to support requests and legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your private photos for third-party advertising.
6. Push notifications
If you enable notifications, BooBo may use APNs to deliver generation-status messages, service updates, reminders, or other app communications. Apple may provide a device-specific push token used to route notifications. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
7. Subscriptions and credits
BooBo may offer weekly, yearly, promotional, or other subscription plans through the App Store. Apple processes the payment. RevenueCat helps BooBo determine whether a subscription or entitlement is active.
Credits are an in-app usage unit and may be granted, reserved, deducted, restored, or refunded according to your plan and generation activity. Credit records may be stored in Supabase so the same balance can be maintained across app sessions and account restores.
8. Data retention
We retain account, credit, subscription, security, support, and analytics information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including operating BooBo, maintaining accurate balances, handling disputes, preventing abuse, satisfying legal obligations, and improving the service.
Because BooBo does not intentionally store source or generated photos in its application database, we do not maintain a long-term BooBo photo archive. Copies saved to your device remain under your control. Third-party processors may have their own limited technical retention or logging practices.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of certain personal information, or to object to certain processing. You can contact us to make a request.
- Photo access: change BooBo's Photos permission in iOS Settings.
- Notifications: disable BooBo notifications in iOS Settings.
- Subscriptions: manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account/App Store subscription settings.
- Account deletion: where available, use the in-app account-deletion feature or contact us for assistance.
Deleting your BooBo account does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription. Subscription cancellation must be handled through Apple.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect account and service information. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.
11. Children's privacy
BooBo is not intended for children under 13, or the minimum age required by local law to consent to data processing. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to BooBo, contact us so we can review the situation.
12. International processing
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Those countries may have different privacy laws. Where required, we rely on appropriate legal mechanisms for international transfers.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as BooBo changes. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app where appropriate.
